Dr. Arpana Parihar is a materials scientist and biomedical researcher specializing in the design, synthesis, and functionalization of advanced 2D nanomaterials for biosensing, phototheragnostic, and diagnostic applications. Her research integrates nanotechnology, biotechnology, and translational biomedical engineering to develop next-generation point-of-care (POC) devices for early cancer and infectious disease detection.
She earned her Ph.D. from the Raja Rammana Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT), Indore, and subsequently worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. Dr. Parihar also served as a DST–Women Scientist B at CSIR–Advanced Materials and Processes Research Institute (AMPRI), Bhopal, where she led a DST-sponsored project as Principal Investigator titled “Multiplexed Non-Invasive Aptamer-Based Electrochemical Biosensors for Early Detection of Cancer.”
